Xi’an GENWAY Drilling Tools Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established, focusing on the R&D, design, production, sales, and technical consulting services of PDC diamond composite drill bits. Its products are widely used in roadway support, coal mining, gas and water drainage, geological exploration, engineering construction, and petroleum drilling.

The company’s self-developed PDC diamond composite drill bit series was successfully promoted across coal mines nationwide. For three consecutive years, GENWAY was awarded the title of “National Advanced Enterprise for Coal Mine Support,” making outstanding contributions to coal mine safety production and the prevention of major mining disasters in China.

GENWAY obtained ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification. The company established a complete industrial chain and became the only PDC drill bit manufacturer in China with a full-process production chain, building a strong industry reputation for “guided drilling” and “targeted drilling.”

GENWAY began undertaking projects under the National Torch Program.

GENWAY was recognized as a High-Tech Enterprise by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology and received support from the National Innovation Fund for Technology-Based Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

GENWAY undertook a major science and technology innovation project in Shaanxi Province and built a production line for PDC diamond composite drill bits.

The company’s annual output value exceeded RMB 200 million, with tax contributions approaching RMB 10 million. Its high-end mining drill bit market share exceeded 70%. Its petroleum drill bit products obtained API certification from the American Petroleum Institute. GENWAY also undertook multiple provincial and municipal technology innovation projects, established the Xi’an Drilling Equipment Engineering Laboratory, and accumulated more than 40 national invention, utility model, and design patents.

GENWAY undertook a major science and technology innovation project in Shaanxi Province — the “Diamond Composite Cutting Pick Project.”

GENWAY was included in the municipal and district-level Science and Technology Little Giant Enterprise cultivation program and was recognized as a “Science and Technology Little Giant Enterprise.”

The company’s independently developed “Steel-Body PDC Diamond Composite Drill Bit Project” was approved as a special funding project for industrial structure adjustment and independent innovation in Xi’an.

GENWAY founder Yang Gang was recognized as one of the “Top Ten Craftsman Stars of Xi’an.” In the same year, GENWAY successfully developed the world’s first mining diamond composite cutting pick, a technology recognized as domestically pioneering and internationally leading.

GENWAY invested RMB 200 million to build the 40-acre “Jingwei Superhard Materials Production Base” in Xi’an High-Tech Zone. The new base is designed to support comprehensive digital, intelligent, and industrialized upgrades, enabling GENWAY to provide higher-quality products and services to customers.

GENWAY was recognized by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a provincial level “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” SME.
